What women are saying about past Goddess Retreats:
This was my first yoga retreat and it was a very positive experience from the time I entered to the time I left. Everyone was so warm & friendly. The food was very good and it was extremely healthy. I was thankful for the different tips on how to improve my yoga. I look forward to attending again in 2015.  Candy Pierra, 2015
I loved every minute of this special two day retreat! It was a perfect weekend…from the magical dwelling place, delicious, healthy meals, joyful yoga and a very special group of women!Kathy Dasso 2014
the Goddess retreat has become a favorite weekend for me. I love the people I have met. Cara is an amazing teacher who is not only a good yogi in general, but is very aware of the needs of her clients. She knows how and when to modify a practice to make it positive for everyone. Karen K, attendee 2013, 2014
This event is a wonderful time to indulge in yoga, wonderful food and the bonding nature of feminine energy. Gemma Adams, 2014

HARAMARA YOGA RESORT, SAYULITA MEXICO
MARCH 5 – 11, 2016

SOLD OUT!!  Stay tuned for future international retreats.

1948011_670681566329319_627608101_n10151242_670681502995992_2078201476_n1743666_670681666329309_1158614410_n1796807_1386748038266779_1737058247_o

Once you come to Haramara –  you will want to return. That is why I am heading back again – sun, jungle, treetop naps, ocean views, infinity pool and gourmet meals.

I love Haramara and it is important to me to offer this opportunity to those how want to enjoy great yoga instruction, gourmet food, breathtaking views all at a reasonable price.    If you love yoga and are looking for a retreat to have intense two hour workshops every morning, but want to bring along a significant other who isn’t so yoga  crazed – this is the RETREAT for BOTH OF YOU.   You can expect great yoga instruction but with more flexibility so you don’t feel obliged to attend EVERY class.

There will be a group of folks who don’t want to do yoga everyday.  They are planning golf, fishing and surfing excursions then can choose to join the restorative afternoon yoga class.   This is a retreat to get-a-way for a week to do whatever you choose to do that day and have time to connect with one another plus time for yourself.    This is your trip, your vacation, your retreat.

If you have an interest to get away to sunny Mexico, experience detailed, experienced yoga instruction with a twist of fun, and have your trip be affordable. I will offer morning classes for yogis who want to go deeper in their understanding of alignment and how to get into more challenging poses.

Sayulita is an artsy, laid back surf town and locally there is great snorkeling, fishing and golf.  You may choose to stay at  Haramara chilling by the pool drinking kambucha or margaritas perhaps hanging by the ocean under the thachted pergola.   Thirsty for a beverage?  No problem!  I take pride in hosting retreats where can  enjoy chill time – a margarita  or kombucha after yoga class at the infinity pool, or lounges under the shade. Perhaps a  day of hanging at the beach under a thatched pergola.  And yes, I’ve checked on the quality of our resort’s tequila and it is impeccable:)

Accommodations:  Native and untouched tropical vegetation surrounds and embraces each one of the 16 private palapa cabanas (palm thatched cabins) and an 8 bed deluxe “dormitory”. Each charming and cozy cabana has been carefully designed to subtly merge the internal and external environments while meeting strict ecological standards with as little disturbance to the flora and fauna as possible. Stunning ocean and/or jungle views abound from every cabana.1966672_10151995402083441_986802744_n

Cabanas are spread over the 12 acres of the property making each one absolutely secluded and private.  Enjoy the rustic luxury of any one of the personally designed cabanas, which feature comfortable beds with hand woven sheets, oil lamps, and candles for softly lit evenings, and original and uniquely designed individual bathrooms. All cabanas have private hammocks for lazy afternoon siestas (naps).

Bathrooms are elegant and private with every detail attended to – even fresh flowers.  Getting to and from places at Haramara is a delight – every foot of jungle path and the private beach is hand raked each morning.  It is all part of the magic.

Yoga:  Each day I will lead 2 all level yoga classes.  The morning class will be a Anusara Hatha workshop format each morning we will dive deeper into poses such as standing poses, arm balances, handstands and backbends. The late afternoon class will be more gentle and restorative.  Haramara has lots of great props for a restorative practice.

I have been teaching yoga for over 15 years and practicing for more than two decades.  I am able to accommodate all levels1836724_1386748161600100_1138108459_o, including those with severe injuries and/or no yoga practice whatsoever.  Classes will on average be 2 hours in length.

Enjoy delicious gourmet meals served in a spacious open air palm thatched restaurant with spectacular views that overlook the jungle and ocean. All meals are tastefully prepared and beautifully served with fresh ingredients and artistic presentations. The wait staff is friendly, well trained and attentive to your every need.

Great food is a requirement for yoga retreats that I lead because I love delicious, creative and healthy food.   All meals are vegetarian based, but also include fish and seafood. All ingredients are fresh, natural and local. The daily menus are carefully chosen by the chef and are based on the ingredients that are available that day. Enjoy the chef’s magical Mexican cuisine, the most romantic and breathtaking views of the sunset over the jungle canopy and elegance found only at Haramara “where Robinson Crusoe meets Architectural Digest!”
